On January 1, we left our homes in Miami, Florida, and began what has been the most difficult journey of our lives. Yesterday, 118 days and 1,500 miles later, we walked down Pennsylvania Avenue to deliver our message to President Obama. We made it, you helped us get here, and we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

When we decided to walk, a lot of people doubted us. Others called us crazy and pleaded with us not to go. But some people believed in us, and with every step the number of our supporters grew. You were one of more than 30,000 people who stood behind us. When the blisters felt too big, the snow too cold, the next shelter too far away, it was your support that kept us going. Walking through harsh anti-immigrant areas of the country, we were never sure we would make it to D.C. Now that we are here, we're sure we could not have made it without you.

But our journey is not over. Though we have arrived at our destination, the laws and policies that drove us to walk remain intact, and we won't stop fighting until we see a change. We are in Washington, D.C, asking President Obama to stop deportations of undocumented students like us who are eligible under the DREAM Act.1 We've put together a photo slideshow from our trip, showing what we've been through to get to this point. Please check it out and then urge your friends to join us in asking Obama to do what's right:

Our walk has truly inspired the nation. We have been greeted by national organizations, Senators, media, and even our family members — all of whom are praising our leadership and speaking out on behalf of young people like us. On Saturday, May 1, the next stage of our journey begins. We are teaming up with hundreds of immigrant students from over 20 states in asking the President to give us a chance to study in school and live without fear of deportation. Can you help us keep pressure on the Obama administration by sharing this with your friends and urging them to take action?
